Evolution
Later Dr. Naismith taught his P.E class the game as an exercise. He changed many features of the game. on of the things he changed was a soccer ball (which he was using at the time) into a ball with better grip and better texture to bounce which later began to be known as the basketball. All in all, Naismith added and deleted many factors to the game to enhance the game play so more people could play.

In the early time of basketball's birth, the game was played by eighteen players (nine players on each team). The main objective of the game was to get the ball into the opponent's basket to get a point. There would be a man at the top dedicated to get the ball out and return it into the game.
The Game
Most people thought that to join a sport one of the factors you should have is strength. Dr. Naismith began the creation of basketball, trying to eliminate that factor. That was a key feature that allowed people to be entertained. Even though basketball was a winter sport, people still played it twelve months all around. So basically it didn't matter for people to be strong or skinny, they could play basketball well enough.

“I think that God-given physical attributes, big hands, and big feet, the way that I’m built, proportion-wise, just made basketball the most inviting sport to play.”

Finalizing The Game
Soon after the game was finalized by Naismith, Spring Field College decided to make that a critical sport to be taught because it was good competitive exerciser for students and students didn't have to strong to play Basketball. Later, YMCA took the sport in and made it spread to there schools to be taught there. Soon after realizing the game was dangerous, YMCA banned the game from there gyms. Later on people got together and formed teams. That later evolved into associations which allowed people to go watch basketball and play it.
Local and National Games
The First competitive basketball leagues were all local leagues, usually within the larger east coast cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Boston. On some terms, teams from other regions would travel to play another team. Once such occasion took place on November 7, 1896. This was the first known professional basketball game. It was played in Trenton,New Jersey between the Trenton YMCA and the Brooklyn YMCA. People went to these games to watch and enjoy. Basketball and the sport of watching it spread world wide changing entertainment for anyone.
